Was the tiny scroll in Revelations a psychadellic drug such as DMT?

Revelation is derived from the first word of the text, apokalypsis, meaning “unveiling” or “revelation.  The word apocalypse has been associated with total destruction of the Earth and mankind and some form of final battle between good and evil, but it actually simply meals unveiling.

Interestingly, the author of Revelation, who names himself simply as John (his identity is a matter of scholarly debate), is given a tiny scroll and instructed to eat it. See Revelation 10:8

Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: “Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”

So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.10 I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. 11 Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”

This is obviously some form of psychedelic drug given to John to allow him to communicate more fully with God himself, so that he can be shown visions of the future.

Once he takes the scroll his stomach is soured, just as it would be when taking DMT in the form of Ayahuasca.

From Wikipedia:

“People who have consumed ayahuasca report having spiritual revelations regarding their purpose on earth, the true nature of the universe as well as deep insight into how to be the best person they possibly can. This is viewed by many as a spiritual awakening and what is often described as a rebirth. In addition, it is often reported that individuals feel they gain access to higher spiritual dimensions and make contact with various spiritual or extra dimensional beings who can act as guides or healers.”

The fantastic Graham Hancock (author of amazing books on the arc of the covenant, pyramids and ancient cultures) discusses it here in depth:

In this video he discusses how it sours his stomach, it doesn’t taste like honey (but I’m sure the angels have a way around this disgusting taste).

After John takes this he then gives an account of a future world that is very grim. All is being revealed before our very eyes, mechanical drone locusts, 666 technology that forces people to trade using the mark of the beast and so much more.

No wonder these sort of drugs are banned in the western world.
